The Year 5/6 students will be completing a unit on this topic in line with the State Curriculum. More specific information about these lessons will be communicated to the Year 5/6 families prior to the unit being conducted. This information session however is open to parents of the wider school community and is of value to parents of children of all ages.
We hope you take advantage of this opportunity and please feel free to share with friends and family in the community.

Family Statements
Families will receive a family statement today showing what has been paid this year. Payment for any outstanding excursions and camps would be appreciated this week as these activities are based on user pays and are not covered by the voluntary financial contributions.
If your account has a credit balance (apart from the CSEF balance) a refund letter will be emailed out in a few weeks.
Enjoy your week.

This week's Hot Lunch is Cheesy Quesadillas.
We are slowly filling up the gaps in the volunteer roster. Thanks to everyone who has found time to take up extra spots during a very busy term, your time and effort are so very much appreciated!
We are particularly looking for helpers to make Fried Rice in week 6 (Fri Nov 10), as it is a very popular order and requires extra clean up. Please let me know if you can help, either to cook (9-11.30 am) or to wash up bowls after the meal is served (11-12 pm).
Thanks!

YPS Instrumental Student Concert
Yack Public Hall
Sunday, 3rd December, 2pm
A ‘Pleasant Sunday Afternoon’ of music will be held in the public hall on Sunday, 3rd December at 2pm for students who learn an instrument at Yack Primary with Bob, David and Jenny. All are welcome to come along to support these hard working and talented students! There is no charge, and all are welcome.
Voluntary Contributions
On behalf of the School Council I want to say thank you to all those who were able to make a financial contribution this year. Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard curriculum requirements and we want to assure you that all contributions are voluntary. These financial contributions assist us with the purchasing of art, music and physical education equipment and resources, which in turn, supports us in offering specialist French, music and art classes as well as facilitating excursions and cultural performances.
We would also like to thank those of you who make non-financial contributions to our school community. These contributions are very much welcomed and help our students, among other things, have tidy school grounds and tasty, hot food in their bellies every Friday.
Voluntary financial contributions made are a bit down on previous years so if you haven't yet, and can afford to do so, School Council would appreciate anything you might choose to contribute.
If you have any questions please drop by the office or call and ask Sandra.
Thank you.
