Issue 6/2024

From the Principal

Folk Festival
We are still seeking assistance with coordinating the Folk Festival food preparation and sales on the Saturday night of the Folk Festival. Jane Murphy has agreed to help with coordination, but she cannot do the work alone. The early plan is to keep the food simple and have it, picnic style in the Memorial Gardens. If you can assist Jane, please let us know before the end of the school week. We will, of course, be seeking further volunteers to assist with the preparation, serving and clean up on the evening. If we do not have volunteer support by Friday afternoon this week we will have no choice except to withdraw our part in this area of the Folk Festival.

Mountain Bike Competition
A huge congratulations to the students who competed in the Mountain Bike Interschool competition. There were some stellar individual performances, and an extremely solid overall team performance. To be the second placed school in the State is an extraordinary effort. Well done kids! Thank you to the parents who facilitated the children attending and organised the school’s participation. It couldn’t have happened without your time and effort. Good luck with the next event!
