We welcome parent involvement at Yackandandah Primary School. Parents can be involved in the school in a variety ways. This includes being a School Council representative, assisting in classrooms, helping prepare hot lunches on Fridays, working bees and much more.
During the transition process for new Foundation children we will have a morning tea with parents to help parents meet each other and as an opportunity for parents to ask any questions they would like. We recognise that school is a big change for parents as well as new students and want new families to the school to feel welcome and have all the information they need. Being a part of a school community is also a great way to build personal friendships with other parents.
Class teachers will discuss with parents/families the potential roles as classroom helpers or assistants if you are interested in helping in the class.
