The end of the school year is near. Class teachers will have communicated key events that are taking place for each class at the end of the year. Yr. 6 Graduation takes place on Friday 15^th December. During the afternoon assembly on that day Yr. 6 students will receive an oak sapling, grown from Yackandandah Primary School acorns. Also, at that assembly our 2024 student leaders will be announced. The Yr. 6 Graduation Ceremony begins at 6pm that evening.

On the final day for students, Monday 18^th December, there will be an assembly at 3:10 where Yr. 6 students will ring the bell to signify the end of their time at Yackandandah Primary School.

The whole school transition day will be on Tuesday 12^th December. Students will spend the day in their 2024 class. Students will be informed of their 2024 teacher toward the end of this week.

2024 Year 6 Shirts
Lauren will be handing out the Year 6 shirts for next year on the Statewide Transition Day on Tuesday, December 12^th.  Payment for the shirts must be paid in full before that day.  I will email statements out to the families who haven’t yet paid in full for them.

End of Year Pool Parties
Please send cash to the school office for the End of Year pool parties by Friday.   If you are unsure whether you have paid, please contact me and I will let you know.

Catholic College Orientation Day
The final Orientation Day this term is on Tuesday 12 December (8.55am – 3.10pm).

When To Arrive
At the Arts Centre for an 8.55am start. You cannot use the country buses for a ‘practise run’.  

What To Wear/Bring

• Sunsmart casual clothing and sports shoes.
• Drink bottle (small backpack if required for personal items).
• Hat/sunscreen.
• Snacks. The College will provide salad roll, muffin and fruit.

When To Leave
Collect children from Bowman Court at 3.15pm.

What If My Child Cannot Attend?
We are unable to offer an alternative. The first week of Term 1 is designed as a series of soft induction days prior to the academic programming starting in earnest.

Vacation Care/Pupil Free Days cost
At the last School Council meeting a motion was moved to increase the cost of Vacation Care to $50 per session.  The increase will take effect from Monday 15th January 2024.

Vacation Care will be operating from Monday 15^th January to Thursday 25^th January 2024 (Friday 26^th is a public holiday).  The Program is below.  We will also be operating on the Pupil Free day Monday 29^th January 2024.  Please make bookings through the Xplor app or email yack.ps.oshc@outlook.com
