WORKING BEE

We are having a school working bee this coming Sunday (26th May) starting 10am. We would appreciate some help with some garden and grounds maintenance for a couple of hours. Jobs on the list include:

  • Pruning/trimming plants, shrubs and low trees.
  • Raking and collecting leaves
  • Tidying the dry creek bed area
  • Spreading soft fall in the playground
  • Checking and clearing drain pits

It would be helpful if you could bring rakes, secateurs and/or other pruning tools, shovel or spade, wheelbarrow. We are hoping that someone would have a trailer for taking away green waste and a mulch pit or bonfire site to deposit it.

We aim to have a simple sausage sizzle on the day to feed the volunteers.

If you can attend, please let us know by listing your name on the following link:

District & Division Cross Country

DISTRICT & DIVISION CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to our amazing students who ran their hearts out at the District Cross Country last Wednesday at The Beechworth Golf Course. The sun streamed down as the students whizzed around the undulating 2km and 3km courses. We are extremely proud of how well our students ran, displaying great athleticism, sportsmanship and resilience. Our students were praised by the organisers for their respectful and grateful dispositions. We would like to congratulate all participants on displaying the school values and representing our school proudly. A special mention to all students who placed in the top 10 and have progressed to the Division Cross Country (see progressions below) – we wish you all the very best! A special mention also to those students who pushed through their fear and anxiousness around this event and ran it with a huge smile on their faces! Overcoming these feelings is a huge achievement and the reward was felt and seen! CONGRATULATIONS! And thank you to Leisha for her organisation of this event and to Earle and Lauren for supporting the students on the day.

The Division Cross Country will be held on Friday, 31st May at Willow Park, Wodonga. Permission forms have been sent home for this event and we ask that they are returned as soon as possible. If for some reason your child is unable to attend, can you please let us know in a timely manner so that another student is able to go in their place and enjoy this amazing opportunity.

Times Table Rockstar

Congratulations to the following students who have turned their heat maps green on timetables rockstars. This means they are consistently answering the 12x tables question in 4 seconds or less.
