11th - 13th September 24 5/6 Camp
20th September 24 Last Day Term 3 2.30pm Finish
Yr. 3/4 students had a terrific camp in Melbourne last week. Congratulations to the students on their positive attitudes and behaviours. Thank you to the teachers (Robyn, Angie and Earle) for their hard work and care for the children over the three days. Thank you also to the parent volunteers who gave their time. We appreciate your support. On Wednesday this week Yr. 5/6 students will travel to Sovereign Hill for their camp.
From Wednesday to Friday this week students in Yrs. 3/4 and F/1K complete their swimming program. Please ensure your child in these classes is prepared.
We are now asking students to wear hats when outside at school. The Cancer Council recommend taking sun protection measures when the UV rating peaks over 3. This is now happening during the day. Students who do not have hats will be required to stay under cover when outside (with a little leeway given this week – and none next week and beyond). If your child requires a new hat, we have them available for purchase at school.

Congratulations to Molly Schultz (3/4R), who has turned her heat map green on timetables rockstars this week. This means she is consistently answering the 12x tables questions in 4 seconds or less.
A reminder to all Grades 3-6 students and parents at home, it’s recommended a “little and often” approach is adopted; 3 minutes practice a day, 4 or 5 times a week is a good target.
Contact your child’s teacher if you require more information on how you can support your child to turn their heat map green.
Our Division Athletics event on Friday 11th October at the Albury, Les O’Brien Athletics Precinct. Students who have qualified can participate in 2 events, plus the relay. I have met with all students today to discuss details regarding the event and I have given them a timetable with important information included.
The permission forms are due back on the 16th September.
Students will be travelling by bus and there will be a cost of $10 to cover the entry fee and bus expenses. There will be no canteen on the day, so like House and District Athletics, students are to take a packed lunch, snacks, a broad brimmed hat, water bottles and sunscreen. Students are expected to wear school uniform.
Robyn W and another staff member will be in attendance, so please direct any questions to myself robyn.wilson3@education.vic.gov.au if necessary.
This week's Hot Lunch is Chicken/Tofu Wraps.
Only two lunches left to go this term!
Thanks to last week's volunteers Cath, Jane D, and Cassie, and to student helpers Bonnie and Zoe for making some very delicious Baked Potatoes. There were lots of smiling faces in the playground at lunch, and plenty of seconds handed out from the kitchen window to fill up hungry kids :)
