Family Statements
Statements were emailed out to families who owe money for camps, excursions and school activities on Tuesday. Where it was possible the School Savings Bonus was used against outstanding charges, the Year 3/4 camp and the Division Athletic sports. Prompt payment would be greatly appreciated. If you didn’t receive a statement, you don’t owe anything.
Medication
Schools are not allowed to store or administer painkillers such as aspirin and paracetamol as a standard first aid strategy as they can mask signs and symptoms of serious illness or injury. This means that If your child is at school and has a headache, we are not able to administer any medication. If your child is having paracetamol at home and will require it at school, you will need to provide the medication and sign an Authority to give Medication form
Schools can also not allow a student to take their first dose of a new medication at school in case of an allergic reaction. This should be done under the supervision of the parent or carer, or health practitioner.
The use of medication by anyone other than the prescribed student is also not allowed.
Note: Only in an emergency situation could this requirement be varied. For example, if a student is having an asthma attack and their own blue reliever puffer is not readily available, another one can be obtained and given without delay.
Students who are given medication at school by a staff member, including Ventolin, will receive an email notification through Compass.
Division Athletics
Consent forms are on Compass for Division Athletics. Please provide consent before the end of term. Cost is $10. If it is showing on Compass that you have paid and you didn’t think you had , the School Savings Bonus would have been used.
Enjoy your weekend and good luck to the boys that are playing in the Footy Grand Finals on Saturday.

Attendance
Staff have been exploring our school’s current attendance data and investigating where we’re tracking well and where there might need to be some focused attention. Every day really counts when it comes to attendance; coming to school daily keeps students connected to our school, fosters a sense of belonging, promotes positive social and emotional development, and lastly, builds their love of learning and exploring.
Term 3 has been rough with multiple viruses flying about the place and lots of students sick, however, we had one of our most strongly attended days last Thursday where only 4 students out of the whole school were absent. I did wonder why the yard seemed to be buzzing like a hive at break time. Amazing work, everyone!
We all know school mornings can sometimes feel like a relay race – shoes to find, lunches to pack, and the mysterious vanishing of water bottles just as you’re heading out the door. We’ve all been there. But when students arrive late to school, even by a few minutes, it can make the start of their day feel a bit like joining a movie halfway through – tricky to follow and a little unsettling. Ideally, a smooth and timely start to school, and quick play session with mates before the bell, sets up your child for a positive start to their day. So, while the school gate doesn’t hand out medals for punctuality, arriving on time gives your child the best opportunity to give the day of learning a red, hot crack, which is all we ask!
Enjoy your weekend and all the best to our Seniors in their Grand Final match. Go, the Roos!

From volcanoes to cyclones, there’s something for everyone to discover. We can’t wait to see the school community come together to celebrate science, curiosity, and creativity!
