This week, the Art room was busy with an intensive focus on printmaking. Linocut prints and geli plate prints are in production!
Students in 5/6 have been working on a lino cut design that repeats a pattern. They have just started the process of ink up their linocut plate and printing using a blend of two colours.
Students in 3/4 started experimenting with 'geli plates' this week to create monoprints, one off editions that are totally unique. Stunning prints, worthy of framing, and this is just the beginning!!

REGIONAL ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the 41 students who competed at Division Athletics in Albury last Friday 10th October. It was a fantastic day with lots of great individual results achieved.
Congratulations to Ari, Ned, Zack, Miles, Jim, Spencer and Alfie who made it through to the Regionals Athletics event today at the Albury, Les O’Brien Athletics Precinct.
There will be NO canteen available on the day, however Jess Dixon will be attending with her coffee van. Jess also sells drinks, pies, dim sims and hot dogs. A Boost Juice van will also be in attendance. Students can purchase food and drinks (if time permits between events) from the vans or will need to bring their own lunches which will need to be eaten between events. There is no official lunch break. Students will need to carry their bags with them to hold their lunches, drinks, sunscreen, sun smart hats, track suits and a plastic bag for wet weather etc.
For this event, it is the responsibility of the family to get their child to and from the event.
Good luck to all the competitors today!
Dance
We’ve kicked off Term 4 by combining the Physical Education – Movement and Physical Activity strand with the Arts curriculum focus on Dance.
Dance is an inclusive and expressive art form that encourages students of all abilities to explore their creativity. Through dance, students are developing not only their movement skills, but also their confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities. They are working in pairs or small groups to choreograph routines — and some students have even chosen to perform solo, which is a fantastic reflection of their growing confidence!
Right now, students are enjoying the process of creating and experimenting with dance alongside their peers. In a few weeks, they’ll have the opportunity to showcase their routines in a fun ‘dance-off’ (dance battle-style) event. While participation in the performance is encouraged, it’s completely optional. Students who prefer not to perform will instead take on the important role of audience members, scoring the routines based on selected criteria on the day.
Below, I have included the final dance performance dates.
