MTB - Victorian Interschools 2022
On Friday the 25th February, 12 riders participated in the Victorian MTB Interschools at Falls Creek! The race was XCO format, which stands for Cross Country Olympic. This means it is a multi lap, off-road race with all riders starting at the same time in a mass start.
The Victorian MTB Interschools are for students in Grades 3 to 12 from all schools in Victoria. There were even teams from as far away as the Mornington Peninsula!

The following YPS students participated :
Grades 3/4: Jim Kelley, Seb Davison, Spence Dowsley, Miles Thornton, Lucas Stagg, Grace Westbrook and Phia Smith-Deans.
Grades 5/6: Max Edwardes, James Thornton, Nate Attwood, Manu Quaglio and Ryder Stagg.
The conditions were pretty tough with light rain, large crowds to contend with at the start line (over 40 riders in the boys divisions!) and low visibility, however everyone raced really well and most importantly had lots of fun!
We're already looking forward to next year and welcoming any new YPS racers to the team!
